My father was a prominent optometrist in Northern California before he died when I was 19. I had the opportunity to work as a high school student with a dear friend of his, a practicing ophthalmologist in Southern California named Lenny.

Lenny and I became close friends and I was always in awe with the vast wealth that Lenny had attained. Lenny was very bitter about his divorce from his wife Gilda and since I was friends with Lenny I got an earful. She said, �Lenny is dumb as a rock when it comes to money and it was Gilda that made Lenny rich.� She went on to explain to me that Gilda became bored after the kids went to school as a housewife.
